Are you looking for a way to communicate with people from all over the world? Want to get a taste – metaphorically – of different cultures, communities and countries? Do you want to share a little bit of your city with someone else who lives halfway around the world? Well, there’s a way, and I’m going to show you how, with a site called Postcrossing.
A(n Incomplete) Visitor’s Guide to… Pittsburgh
As I prepare for a (probable) upcoming trip to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in September, I realized something. I’ve been to the 412 many, many times in my lifetime, yet I’ve never posted a little guide to the city here on my blog! But hey – better late than never, right? So if you’re looking for things to do in Pittsburgh and the surrounding areas, you’ve come to the right place. Look no further, because here’s the second edition of my “Incomplete Vistor’s Guide to….” – and this time, it’s a Pittsburgh edition.

Book Review: The Kill Order
After finished the trio of books that comprise The Maze Runner trilogy by James Dashner, I quickly discovered – what?!? – there’s a fourth book! Titled “The Kill Order,” the book is a 2012-published prequel to the trilogy.
10 Ways to Step Out of Your Comfort Zone
“If you want something you’ve never had, you’ve got to do something you’ve never done.”
The comfort zone: it’s where most of us live our daily lives. Routines, safe places, a group of comrades we know and work well with, food we already know we enjoy, tasks we’ve completed before, and more. Living in the comfort zone is fine most of the time, but it’s important – crucial! – to step outside of that box every once in a while; to take chances, switch things up, take a risk or two, break one of your self-imposed rules, and just… live!
But how the heck do you do that? If you’re used to doing the same things, you’re never going to break out of that box, or even stretch it a little bit. You’re going to have to do something you’ve never done before. It won’t easy, it might make you nervous, but it will be worth it – I swear.
“The Maze Runner” – A Trilogy & More
I recently stumbled upon an Internet list of ‘books to read before their movies come out.’ One of the books on that list was one that I’d had my eye on for some time, but didn’t ever push myself to check out: The Maze Runner by James Dashner.
With a little more investigating, you’ll quickly realize The Maze Runner is part of a trilogy by Dashner, a trilogy that also has a prequel now added to it. The Maze Runner is the first book in the trio, with The Scorch Trials and The Death Cure rounding out the three. The prequel – titled The Kill Order – is what I’m reading now, after having finished the trilogy.
How to describe this set of books: dystopian, science-fiction, young-adult, catching, enthralling and eye-catching. I’ll start off by giving you the basic premise of book one, but you should definitely check it out for yourself and then read the rest of the trilogy!
